You may notice that I quote often from the World English Bible (WEB) translation. I needed a translation that was in the public domain, since I quote large sections of scripture that would violate the copyright restrictions of most modern translations.
I am not an absolutist on translations (there are plenty of good ones). Thankfully, the WEB is one of them. I have found that it compares well to the NASB (New American Standard Bible), which is not surprising since they are both based on the 1901 American Standard Version translation.
